Black Truffle Country is part of a family farm and business in the village of Pettino in Umbria, Italy.
The family has called Pettino home since the year 1486, where they still maintain a traditional way of life, but with a contemporary and innovative outlook. With 2,500 acres of natural mountain pasture and pristine forests, Pettino is an incredible, unspoilt corner of Italy and Umbria where truffle hunting, shepherding and cheesemaking – among other things – are just a part of everyday life.
For many years the family in Pettino have shared truffle hunting experiences with visitors from all over the world. Their incredible Pettino Country Experience introduces travellers to a timeless way of life, where they discover and savor the family’s culinary secrets, immerse themselves into a beautiful mountain village and explore the fields and forests of the Apennine Mountains.
They also offer exclusive, luxury accommodation at The Black Truffle Lodge giving guests the chance to stay in the comfort of an enchanting Umbrian lodge, and to indulge themselves in unique and compelling experiences on the centuries-old family estate, with the luxury of their own private suite as a sumptuous haven.
The newest addition to the experiences in Pettino is a collection of shoes & boots, handbags & wallets, and jackets & blazers—made with a fabric produced with wool from the family farm. The fabric is produced by the historic and renowned Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti, and the collection is made in collaboration with some of Italy’s greatest master artisans, and offered as bespoke, tailor-made, or ready to wear.
Join other travelers and experience truffle hunting, authentic Umbrian culture and rich epicurean pleasures.
